Tony Gonzalez came in at No. 7 on John Clayton’s list of the NFL’s top 10 tight ends.
Last season was Gonzalez’ 15th in the league, and he caught 80 passes for 875 yards and seven touchdowns. He was fourth in the league with those 80 catches, fifth in yards and fourth in touchdown catches.
At 35 years old, it’s easy to see why Clayton put Gonzalez at No. 7.
But let’s not put him out to pasture just yet.

Tis the season to produce a top 100 list around the NFL.
While the discussion on the NFL Network’s “The Top 100: Players of 2012″ has raged on Thursday morning, Pete Prisco’s top 100 list on CBSSports.com hasn’t been mentioned.
Let’s fix that.
Prisco apparently doesn’t believe in holding back like the NFL Network, he gave out his entire list in one sitting. His top five are:
1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay
2. Tom Brady, New England
3. DeMarcus Ware, Dallas
4. Calvin Johnson, Detroit
5. Darrelle Revis, New York Jets
