Palmer has already been ruled out for Sunday’s home game against Carolina.

Four Falcons were limited Thursday as well; defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux (groin), wide receiver Julio Jones (hand) and linebackers Mike Peterson (ribs) and Stephen Nicholas (thigh).

The Carolina Panthers sat three players Thursday, including defensive end Twan Applewhite (knee), linebacker Jon Beason (knee) and offensive guard Mike Pollak (shoulder).

Five Panthers were limited; linebacker Thomas Davis (calf), cornerback Chris Gamble (shoulder), defensive end Greg Hardy (hand), safety Colin Jones (shoulder) and running back Jonathan Stewart (toe).
