FLOWERY BRANCH – Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez said the Falcons will be ready to play when they travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles. Atlanta has historically struggled in Philadelphia but they are looking to get over that hump this week.
“I dont know what it is, but whatever it is, we’ve got to fix it and we’ve got to fix it this week,” said Gonzalez. “We’ll go up there and we’ll be ready to play. We’re not worried about what happened the last time we went up there. This is the most important game on our schedule up until this point because its our next game.”
Gonzalez isn’t sure whether his team is the best in the NFL, but he knows the Falcons are winning, and doing so in a number of different ways.
“We’re 6-0, thats all I know,” said Gonzalez. “We havent lost yet. We’re a damn good football team. Theres no doubt about it. We have confidence but we’re a long way from where we want to go.
“The more games that we win, the more teams will be gunning for us. Right now, we’ve got that big old target on our back. They’re going to be coming, I don’t care who we play.”
