FLOWERY BRANCH – Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan returns to his home state of Pennsylvania Sunday to face the Philadelphia Eagles. Ryan says his return home is special.
“Its obviously where I grew up and still have a lot of family up there,” said Ryan. “Its always fun for them to be able to come to the game and maybe have a chance to see them afterward for a second or two. But once you start playing, its like any other week and you have to be focused and prepared.”
The Eagles fired defensive coordinator Juan Castillo during their bye week which makes the job of preparing for them a little more difficult.
“Im sure with the change in defensive coordinator, they’ll have a few things different from what we’ve seen thus far,” said Ryan. “But as far as personnel goes, its going to be the same guys out on the field and their personnel is very good. So we’ve got to be prepared to adjusting to some things on the sideline but again, studying the guys that we’re going against and understanding how they play, I think we’ll be fine.”
