FLOWERY BRANCH – After combining for 118 rushing yards with Jacquizz Rodgers, Michael Turner feels as if the Atlanta Falcons running game sent a message to those questioning the its resolve.
“We can still run the football,” said Turner. ”We’ve still got to go out there and do things better.”
As the running game is coming along, quarterback Matt Ryan’s progression is clear for everyone to see. When asked about Ryan’s current success, Turner talked about the hard work Ryan put in over the summer.
“This all started in the offseason, this is nothing new to us,” said Turner. “We’ve been seeing the improvement year in and year out and he’s ready to take it to the next level.”
Turner feels as if the team’s depth is a key point in the undefeated season. This offense has a number of weapons, both starters and reserves.
“Anybody can step up at any time and fill a guy’s roll, said the Falcons’ starting running back. “If one of us goes down with something, the next guy is going to step up and play big for us.”
