FLOWERY BRANCH – Atlanta Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud said the new coordinators are a main component in why the team has been successful so far.
“I just think the coaches that were brought in and the philosophies that they have, it’s all just come full circle with us and it’s just fit in perfectly,” said DeCoud. “The scheme that he [Mike Nolan] likes to run is really conducive to the way that we like to play defense. So, I think we were meant to be together.”
With the Falcons playing on prime time Sunday night they know they are on display to prove themselves to the entire nation.
“When you’re the only game on TV, of course there’s a little more intensity and guys are a little more amped up out there. But also, you cant let that affect you and get you out of your play,” DeCoud said. “You have to be amped up, you’ve got to be ready to play but you also have to have that even keel.
“They’re [Dallas] a team that likes to throw the ball and they have a head coach that likes to throw the ball,”
DeCoud went on to say that the Falcons “welcome the challenge” and will have all of their T’s crossed and I’s dotted” Sunday night when Dallas comes to town.
