Video: Atlanta Falcons OTA Footage

by Knox Bardeen on June 8, 2012

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – I’m frequently asked what practice, or OTAs, or training camp looks like for the Atlanta Falcons up at Flowery Branch. Instead of continuing to tell you something like “we stand in a box and watch players work on their craft,” I decided to shoot some b-roll and show it here.

Things to note:

  • The media is only allowed to shoot the first 20 minutes of practice. So, you won’t be seeing any 11-on-11 or formational drills or anything like that. You’ll see stuff like stretching, coaching and special teams. But this still gives you a glimpse of what we see each day.
  • I’m a a writer. My video skills, and more to the point, my video editing skills are green. Please don’t hate.
  • I’ve got a ton of this footage–I pretty much roll tape from start to finish of the allowable time–so if you enjoy this, let me know and I’ll keep pushing it out to you all when I get it. Also, if you have ideas or something you really want to see, let me know.
